Kitchen....After

Here's the kitchen after the makeover. Love the walls in Sherwin Williams Shaker Beige/Lennox Tan. Lot's of gold in the colors, but it matches well with the cupboards and floors. Love the TJ Maxx apple picture I got for a steal! I'm not much for curtains but I'm LOVING all the mistreatments I've seen on blogs. The wall was a little bare so I decided to add some curtains. The rod was recycled from the master bedroom in our last house. I did use my sewing machine and hemmed fabric into a big rectangle. Then I just clipped it to the fabric/rod with cute curtain hooks I found and Waa-laa...a nice addition to the dining area!

And I took a leap of faith and used RED in the kitchen. I LOVE RED and this color (Brickpath by Martha Stewart/Sears) worked perfectly with only 2 coats (I never prime...to much work). Like it so much that I'm going to use it in my master bedroom behind my bed!
